  1. CICU Organized Workshop on “Cyber Network Security Challenges & Solutions”

    A workshop on “Cyber Network Security: Challenges & Solutions” was organized by Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings at CICU Commercial Complex, E-648-A, Phase-V, Focal Point, Ludhiana.

    Sh. Avtar Singh, President, CICU in his welcome address said that in the present economic scenario, the country is progressing very fast with the use of E-business, E-Commerce and Social Media etc. With the wide spread use of computers and internet, the Cyber crimes are also on the rise. More and more individuals and organizations are becoming victim of cyber crimes. The participants of this workshop will learn various skills and techniques relating to preventing of cyber crime activities and maintain a secure cyber space to safeguard their interests relating to the information, data and values of their business from hacking which is very important for the growth and sustainability of their business. Keeping in view the global competitive environment in the development, marketing of products and services as well as securing the business plans for present and future.

    The interactive & thought provoking program was conducted by Mr. Harpreet Khattar B. Tech (ECE), MBA and Ethical Hacker. He is having more than 11 years experience in Cyber Security Issues. He is founder and Director of M/s Harksh Technologies Pvt. Ltd. & Seculab Security Solutions as 6th Ranking Social Students Entrepreneur of the Country by Global Student Entrepreneur Awards 2011 (GSEA). He has delivered many lectures on Cyber Crime awareness, challenges and solutions viz-a-viz use of upcoming digital technologies for business. He has published many research papers and articles in national research journals. He is an expert on Cyber Crime Investigation with Punjab Police & UP Police. More than 30 participants including industry and trade promoters and senior staff relating to IT, Banking & Finance etc attended the workshop.

     

    He explained in details regarding Anatomy of Cyber Attacks, How does hacking harms the commercial business terms and individuals, How to keep your business security ahead of attackers, How to avoid frauds from hacking, Different Protocols & Compliance of Cyber Securities System. He gave live demonstrations on different types and ways of Cyber crime activities happening in India and world with the relevant solutions to avoid investigate and recover the commercial and personal losses. He also explained a complete security system to control the possibility of Cyber Crime attacks and legal aspects of the problems.

    Sh. Upkar Singh General Secretary, CICU in his closing remarks said that due to digitalization of the Indian economy, individuals, trade and industry are facing new challenges in E-Commerce and E-Business relating to Cyber Crimes. This workshop will make valuable contribution to enhance the knowledge of Cyber Network Securities and Protocols, how they can save their information from hacking and save subsequent losses. He was hopeful that the knowledge shared in the workshop if implemented practically and effectively will definitely save & secure the business of the industry and trade of the Punjab.
