It aims to establish a more open, flexible and caring management style so that Staff will be motivated, developed and managed in a way that they give their best to support in achieving Departmental Objectives and enhance productivity.

The role of Human Resources is changing as fast as technology and the global market place.  Historically, the HR Department was viewed as Administrative overhead.  HR processed payroll, handled benefits administration, kept personal files and other records, managed hiring process and provided other administrative support to the business.  Those items have changed.  The positive result of these changes is that HR Professionals have the opportunities to play a more strategic role in business.  The challenge of HR Managers is to keep up to date with latest HR Innovations-Technological, Legal and otherwise.

The above being so true that today we need to understand what are some of the best practices of HR which can keep pace with growing demands of business and environment.  Also does it have a agility and flexibility to mold and to tune itself with growing needs of the Indian Subcontinent when India is moving towards Make-in-India.

    Program Topics:

    1. Articulation of Vision, Mission & Values
    2. Manpower Planning
    3. Training & Development

Shri Avtar Singh, President & Shri Upkar Singh Ahuja, General Secretary, CICU in a joint statement released today said that since long CICU has been striving   hard and approaching to various Airlines Operators to introduced flights from Ludhiana to Delhi & Delhi to Ludhiana on daily basis.

Shri Upkar Singh Ahuja mentioned that they have written letters to SpiceJet, Jet Airways & Go Air Airlines etc. requesting them to start Ludhiana-Delhi-Ludhiana Daily Flights from Sahnewal Airport.  He also told that CICU has proposed the Assured Business of 1000 Seat Bookings for the 1st 3 months to Air Operators.

CICU has also has planned to tie-up with Service Providers of 10 Sitters Air Crafts from Sahenwal Airport to Delhi and to return from Delhi to Ludhiana.  He further mentioned that this service will:-

    • Facilitate the Members in terms of Time Savings &
    • Very Economical in terms Cost as hiring of Air Taxi for 1 OR 2 Members is very costly, but its pooling will cost too less.

Elaborating the necessity of Daily Flights from Ludhiana, he said that Ludhiana is Hub of Industries and about 40000 SMEs are running in Ludhiana only which supply their products to big Industries based in Delhi, Haryana and adjoining States.  Thus, Ludhiana Industrialists & Businessmen’s visit to Delhi is a daily common task.  But due to non availability of Flights from Ludhiana, they either have to travel to Mohali Air Port OR to travel through Trains or Luxury Buses which are too much time consuming and very tiring as well.

In view of the above, CICU has planned to approach to various Air Taxi Service Providers to introduce “10 Sitters Air Craft’ from Sahnewal Air Port to Delhi which on the one hand will generate more business of the Air Taxi Providers and will also increase the Trades & Business of Ludhiana Industries on the other hand
